URECELL Primary Mirror Cells New for 2011, now available

New to the market for the Amateur Telescope Maker (ATMer) who is looking for a stable platform to mount the primary mirror of a newtonian telescope. This mirror cell features a light weight design
that allows air to flow freely around the primary mirror for maximum cooling. The urethane material on this mirror cell holds less heat than an aluminum or metal
mirror cell. The selection of urethane has high impact resistance and can withstand 200 degrees fahrenheit (93 C).
The available sizes are 4.5", 6", 8", 10" and 12".

Attaching the secondary mirror is a snap with silicone caulk. Just
apply four small dalbs of silicone caulk to the secondary holder and
press the secondary mirror into the caulk and wait for the caulk to
dry. Removal of the secondary can be accomplished using dental floss
as a cutting blade between the secondary mirror and the secondary
mirror holder. |
